Transmission Rebuild vs. Replacement: Which Is the Right Choice for Me?
When transmission trouble strikes, one of the first questions many drivers ask is: Should I rebuild or replace my transmission?
At Torque n Bend Transmission, we specialize in in-house transmission rebuilds, and we’re here to help you understand your options so you can make the right call for your vehicle.
What’s the Difference?
Transmission Rebuild (Our Specialty)
A transmission rebuild means we remove your existing transmission, fully disassemble it, replace worn parts (clutches, seals, gaskets, etc.), clean and inspect every component, and upgrade known failure points (depending on the model of the transmission). Then, we reassemble and test everything to ensure top performance and reliability.
Every rebuild is done in-house by our experienced team, nothing is outsourced or remanufactured. This allows us to ensure the highest quality control and tailor the rebuild specifically to your vehicle’s needs.
Best for you if:
You want a long-term, cost-effective solution
You want known issues fixed and prevented from coming back
You value customized upgrades and expert craftsmanship
You want the peace of mind that comes with our 2-year, unlimited mileage warranty
What About Replacement?
Depending on your year, make, and model, we may have pre-rebuilt (shelf units) ready to go rebuilt right here in-house with the same care and warranty as any custom job.
This can be a faster option if you're in a hurry, but rest assured: whether it’s your original transmission or one of our shelf units, every transmission that leaves our shop has been rebuilt by our team. nothing mass-produced or outsourced.
